Lesley Love

Canadian Senior Immigration Lawyer

As a Canadian Senior Immigration Lawyer, Lesley Love has built her career around helping individuals and businesses navigate the life-changing process of immigration. Drawn to what she calls “Happy Law,” she was inspired early on by the opportunity to make a meaningful, positive impact without the adversarial nature found in other legal fields. As she explains, “there was no fighting, no arguing, just helping people come to a new country and assisting companies expand and grow.” This people-centered perspective continues to define her approach, as she works closely with clients during some of the most important transitions of their lives.

Lesley focuses her practice on Canadian corporate immigration, advising clients across industries including information technology, manufacturing, mining, and architecture. She has extensive experience guiding companies and individuals through complex cross-border matters, including intra-company transfers, free trade agreement-based work permits, Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA), and pathways based on significant benefit to Canada. Her practice also encompasses temporary resident visas, temporary resident permits, criminal rehabilitation applications, and long-term strategies for permanent residence and citizenship. With years of experience and a deep understanding of evolving immigration frameworks, she is a trusted advisor to organizations seeking to grow internationally and to professionals pursuing new opportunities abroad.

Lesley earned her LL.B. from the University of Windsor and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Development, with a Minor in Spanish, from the University of Guelph. Her global perspective has been shaped by extensive international travel, including a year living in Argentina as a Rotary exchange student and visits across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. She is an active member of the Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association, where she serves on both the Ethics and Events Committees, as well as the Canadian Bar Association and Entrepreneurs Nation Kitchener Chapter, and she is the President of the Board of the Cambridge and District Humane Society. Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her children’s activities, traveling, and reading. A frequent speaker, Lesley has presented at conferences and events hosted by organizations such as the Human Resources Professional Association, the International Bar Association in Seoul, the United Nations, and various legal associations worldwide. She approaches her work with a deep sense of responsibility, guided by her belief that “clients come first” and that shaping an individual’s immigration journey is both a privilege and a profound obligation.
