Anusha Marepalli’s experiences as an immigrant have deeply informed her professional practice. “My own experiences” she says, “have given me a personal connection to the challenges many of my clients face.” She is an advocate for her clients, offering genuine empathy, cultural understanding, and a deep commitment to assist them navigate the complexities of legal immigration.
As an Attorney with FGI, Anusha brings her background in immigrant visas including employment-based (PERM, EB-2 and EB-3) and family-based categories. She has experience in drafting Labor Condition Applications, and Prevailing Wage Determination requests for high-skilled professional, skilled, and other workers. She has also drafted RFE responses for various employment-based (I-140) petitions. In addition, she has also worked on nonimmigrant visas, specifically H-1B RFE responses for specialty occupation determination issues. Her clients comprise IT companies as well as other U.S. employers who hire high-skilled talent.
Anusha is a graduate of Osmania University in Telangana, India, where she earned a B.A., LL.B. (Honors), and LL.M. in Corporate Law. She also received an LL.M. from the College of William and Mary Law School in Williamsburg, Virginia. In addition, she has volunteered with the MIRC-Michigan Immigrant Rights Centre, N-400 Clinic, and the Lutheran Social Services on the National Capital Area, VA. As to summarize her professional approach, Anusha says that “I believe that immigration law is more than seeking legal status, it is about seeking identity, dignity, and security. Immigration law requires both empathy towards people and a commitment to justice.”
