UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – Government Offices to Close for Holiday

In observance of the national holiday Eid al-Adha, or “Feast of the Sacrifice,” government offices will close for five days in early October. Although exact dates cannot be confirmed until the lunar moon is observed on September 24th or 25th, the holiday is predicted to begin on either October 4th or 5th. Foreign nationals and employers should be aware of the holiday closures and factor in a one-week delay when considering schedules and timelines for work permits, extensions, and other related services.
