Thailand – Notification of Work Permit Cancellation

Companies must now file a cancellation notification to the Registrar within seven calendar days (5 business days) of cancelling a foreign nationals Work Permit. This requirement was previously in effect but it is now mandatory and noncompliance of the employer will be subject to fines of up to 100,000 THB (approximately 2,940 USD).

The foreign national is still required to cancel their visa before their last official day of work and before they depart Thailand. This process has remained unchanged.
