SAUDI ARABIA – New Documentation Requirements for Visa Applicants

Saudi Arabian embassies and consulates have imposed new documentation requirements and have restricted the allowable period foreign nationals, particularly women, may remain in the country. Saudi embassies and consulates have recently changed several policies such as rejecting applications from foreign nationals applying for stays of more than 30 days, reducing the allowable duration of stay for women applying for visas to up to 90 days, regularly amending supporting documentation requirements and requesting new or modified letters of intent.

Policies and procedures may differ depending on the Saudi embassy or consulate but foreign nationals applying for business visas should try to submit their applications early and expect potential delays.
