Philippines – Register for Annual Report
Foreign nationals residing in the Philippines with an Alien Certificate of Registration card must register for the 2017 annual report within the first 60 days of the year, from January 3 – March 3, 2017 at the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Main Office in Manila, or to the nearest participating BI offices. Failure to register may result in fines or deportation, at the option of the Commissioner of Immigration.
The registration must be done in person. The foreign national may be exempt from personal appearance with use of a legal representative if they have personally appeared in at least one of the Annual Reports held in the last three years, with an accomplished Annual Reports form and paid fee receipt, in which the following must be presented:
- Original Alien Certificate of Registration identity card (ACR I-card)
- Confirmation number issued by the Annual Report 2017 only system
- Payment of the annual report fee and for the express lane for non-appearance;
- Special Power of Attorney on behalf of the foreign national with a valid government issued ID of the legal representative;
- Valid passport; and
- Submission of an undertaking to fulfill legal obligations, only required if the foreign national has any outstanding liabilities.
A foreign national who returns to the Philippines on a re-entry permit will have 30 days from the date of his or her return to register with the Annual Report if not already registered. There will be no fines imposed if the registration is made within the 30 days.
The Annual Report aims to enforce compliance of immigration law in the interest of national security, public safety, and public order.
