PHILIPPINES – Alien Registration Program (ARP) Effective Immediately

As a result of the Alien Registration Program (ARP), an initiative recently passed by the Philippine’s Bureau of Immigration (BI), all non-registered aliens must apply for registration with the BI. The BI has put this system in place in order to identify aliens, determine the legality of both their entry and status, and establish tax sources. In order to register aliens, biometrics and other information will be collected. Aliens must fill out and bring with them an ARP form and any valid form of identification to a BI office. This initiative has already gone into effect and will continue to be carried out until September 30th, 2015. For more information, such as penalties for noncompliance and exceptions, click here.
