Malaysia – Companies Must Submit Projections

The Expatriate Services Division (ESD) has opened the enrollment for companies to apply for projections of the number of foreign nationals they wish to sponsor for Employment Pass and Professional Visit Pass for the year 2014, beginning December 5th, 2016. The projections apply to all initial and renewal applications. Unutilized projections for 2016 will not be carried over for use in 2017.
Projection requests are decided within 5-10 working days. Companies that do not have approval of their projections for 2017 may not apply for initial or renewal Employment Pass or Professional Visit Passes.
