KENYA – Validity of Visitor’s Passes to be Strictly Enforced

Kenya’s Department of Immigration Services has noted that stricter enforcement of the six-moth limit on Visitor’s Passes is needed. This memo has come in response to several foreign nationals overstaying their passes. Foreign nationals must plan to leave Kenya before the six-month deadline of their Visitor’s Pass. Extensions beyond the initial six months will not be granted from within Kenya. Failure to comply will result in arrest and prosecution for unlawful presence in Kenya.
