ISRAEL – Consular Services Currently Unavailable Due to Labor Dispute

After an unsuccessful mediation period of seven months, the Finance Ministry has refused to resolve the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ labor dispute and the Foreign Ministry workers have renewed their work sanctions. Therefore, since March 4th, 2014, Israel’s embassies and consular services have not been available, and will not become available until further notice. This means that Israel’s diplomats will not engage with foreign representatives, take care of official visits either to/from Israel, issue visas, or provide any other consular services. Requests for exemptions to this should be sent by e-mail to Union@mfa.gov.il.
