IRELAND – Foreign Accountants are Given New Qualification Standards

Ireland’s Department of Jobs, Enterprise, and Innovation is now requiring proof of qualifications of foreign nationals that are applying for employment permits. Their degree or certification must be approved by a relevant Irish entity. The following are nine Irish regulatory bodies that may recognize the educational degree:

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants

Association of International Accountants

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy

Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland

Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland

Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales

Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland

Institute of Incorporated Public Accountants

Foreign accountants are expected to provide a copy of their CPA certificate in order to prove their membership in one of the above professional bodies.
