Indonesia – Third Party Sponsorship No Longer Available

Effective November 14, 2016, third party agents will no longer be able to submit applications on behalf of the company or applicant. In an announcement made by the Indonesian Immigration authorities on November 7, an applicant and the company sponsor must now apply directly to the Directorate General of Immigration for the required visas/permits.

Third party agents typically process pre-approval letters for entry visas, Stay Permits, and Cancellation of Stay Permits for applicants and company sponsors. Immigration firms have appealed against the regulation to the Chamber of Commerce, which may affect the DGI to amend or cancel its implementation.
