EUROPEAN UNION & UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – Visa-Free Travel Agreement

The European Union and the United Arab Emirates have signed an agreement that allows EU nationals to travel to the UAE without a visa and for UAE nationals to also travel without a visa to most EU countries for up to 90 days in a 180-day period. The agreement, which was implemented on December 15th, makes it convenient for EU and UAE nationals to travel for short-term business and leisure without first having to secure visas.
This agreement has been in the works for more than one year and its implementation should ideally improve trade relations and ease business and tourism travel among nationals of both parties.
