CZECH REPUBLIC – Minimum Wages for Foreign Workers Increased

The Czech Republic has announced the minimum salaries for foreign workers including those on local contracts, intracompany transfers and non-EU/EEA employees. The minimum wage for local hires and intracompany transfers increased from 9,200 CZK to 9,900 CZK per month for 2016. The minimum wage for EU Blue Card holders remains the same at 25,686 CZK per month. However, the current salary thresholds for EU Blue Card holders is only valid until April 30 and may change if the average gross salary in the Czech Republic is recalculated in May.
