China – Verification of Invitation Letter Required for Puxi of Shanghai

An additional requirement is now mandatory for the application of the China Z Employment Visa in the Puxi area of Shanghai. Verification of the invitation letter before it is submitted to the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce is now required. Once an invitation letter is applied for, supporting documents must be physically submitted for verification. The Commission will issue the letter once it verifies the supporting documents of the application for an invitation letter.

The additional requirements for the validation of the invitation letter have now increased the processing times to eight to ten business days. The documents must be physically submitted to the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce. The Pudong area of Shanghai is not affected and applications for the invitation letter are to still be submitted to the Foreign Affairs Office.
