BRAZIL – Broader Range of Acceptable Documents for Work Visas

Effective immediately, the Brazilian Ministry of Labor is to accept any documents that provide proof of work experience from foreigners applying for Work Visas. For all Temporary Work Visa applicants, alternative documents are to be accepted as proof of their tenure at a company, such as their work contracts or pay slips. Additionally, for intracompany transfer applicants, the Ministry of Labor will accept signed letters from the Brazilian company’s directors, which confirm the applicants’ years of experience, in replace of reference letters from the applicants’ previous foreign employers.
