Australia – Priority Processing for TSS and 457 Visa Concludes

Effective September 5, 2018, priority processing for Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa and Subclass 457 visa applications will cease. This is due in part to the lack of resources to process the high volume of cases.
Applications submitted before the cutoff date will receive the priority processing, however, those that are yet to receive a response regarding the priority processing have been declined and a written decision of the notification will not be sent.
Subclass 457 visa applications in process are expected to be completed by the end the calendar year. Resources are also monitoring the visa applications where the related nomination application is expected to expire soon.
