Canada – Indian VACs Reopen Biometrics For Work Permit And Study Permit Applicants

Effective January 20, 2021 VAC centers in India are accepting

biometric enrollment for applicants who have submitted student and

work permit applications. VAC centers had reopened for biometric

enrollment in November, but due to large demand were restricting

appointments to prioritized categories: family class applicants and

those with humanitarian considerations.

This reopening means that the long wait is over for applicants

who need to submit their biometrics before they can travel to

Canada to work or study. They are now able to contact a VAC nearest

them to make an appointment.  Applicants are required to bring

with them their BIL (Biometrics Instruction Letter), which they

receive from Immigration Canada when their application is

submitted.  For a comprehensive list of available locations,

and to book an appointment, please visit the following site: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/can.
