United Kingdom – UK Visa Assistance No Longer Offered in US Consulates

Applications for the UK submitted in the United States will now need to be posted to the VFS service center in New York City. The application will then be sent to Sheffield, England for processing and final decision making. Processing times should remain the same, though applicants can opt for a premium processing within 48 hours for an additional fee of $ 1800 USD.
Applicants are still required to submit biometric information at one of the 10 Department of Homeland Security application centers. These are located throughout the US in NYC, Washington DC, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, and Miami.
