United Arab Emirates – e-Vision Portal Enforced in Dubai

Dependent visas and renewal applications submitted in Dubai may face delays as they are required to be filed online using the e-Vision portal. The General Directorate of Residence in Foreign Affairs in Dubai is enforcing applications to be submitted via the online portal, which requires legalized marriage and birth certificates, employee’s bank account number and original Emirates ID card.
Dubai offers an express option for an additional fee, with processing time the same day if filed in person or use of a representative. The processing time for dependent applications is three days but does not include courier transit. The requirement of the legalization may increase the processing time to three weeks.
