Uganda – Investigation of Foreign Nationals
The Uganda Immigration Authorities have been investigating foreign nationals on whether they have the appropriate documents and proper status to be working. The investigations have led to an arrest of twenty eight foreign nationals.
The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration announced that investigations are ongoing. Foreign nationals should carry proper identification and documents of their status at all times. Foreign nationals that have valid work permits to work, should also ensure they are working in the appropriate job location. Foreign nationals should also carry receipts of pending applications to avoid fines, prosecution, deportation, or other penalties.
