Turkey – Update of Resident Permit Renewals by Appointment
As previously mentioned, residents in Istanbul must get an appointment date from the immigration Department’s online system for extension of residence applications. Appointment dates are given randomly after approximately 5-6 months by the Immigration Department’s online system in Istanbul City. These regulations may change in the future. However, in the meantime, documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, and police records obtained from original country must be apostilled. Previously, these documents could have been mailed but are now requireturd to be presented at the in person appointment with the apostille.
