TURKEY – Online System Error Causing Delay in Residence Permit Applications

The Istanbul Migration Directorate website is currently experiencing a system error where available appointment dates have not been displaying for some days. This system error will probably cause delays for foreign nationals in Istanbul trying to book initial residence permit appointments for dependents.
The application process for residence permits was recently transitioned to an online system back in May of this year. During the time that it has been implemented, the online system has experienced system malfunctions, backlogs, and process changes. It is not clear yet when this new system error will be fixed as there are several government offices currently understaffed.
