THE PHILIPPINES – New Requirement for Companies Applying for 9(g) Visas

A change made by the Bureau of Immigration requires that companies filing a 9(g) Pre-Arranged Employment Visa application must submit a form evidencing the number of foreign workers in their workforce at the time of the application’s submission. All foreign workers are to be reported, regardless of the visa type. The form must also be notarized. This change is meant to ensure that the hiring of foreign workers does not impose upon the job opportunities available for Filipino workers.
