Saudi Arabia – Insurance Policy Required for Visitors

Short term visitors, which include business visas, commercial visit visas, work visit visas, and family visit visas, are now required to purchase an insurance policy while in Saudi Arabia. While applying for the “Enjaz” registration, applicants will be directed to a page to enter their biographical information and to purchase an insurance policy. Depending on their nationality, length of stay, and their biographical information, will reflect the price of the insurance policy. The insurance policy applies to applicants from Canada, United States, and the United Kingdom, and is expected to be required for all countries across the globe.

Visitors should take into account of the new government fee once applying for a visitor visa since it is now a prerequisite to the online application. The government fee does not apply to long term visas such as employment visas or residence permits.
