ROMANIA – Work Permit Quotas for 2014

The Romanian government has announced the new work permit quota for 2014. A total of 5,500 work permits will be issued, with the following allocations: 900 for intracompany transferees; 900 for highly skilled workers; 3,000 for local hires; and the remaining 700 for other categories, such as interns, athletes, and certain short-term workers. After the quota has been fulfilled, the government will not accept any more work permit applications.
