MALAYSIA – Foreign Employee Projections for 2016 Open for Submission

Malaysian companies registered with the Expatriate Services Division’s (ESD) online portal may now submit their foreign employee projections for 2016. The Malaysian authorities must approve the projection numbers before any initial or renewal Employment Pass (EP) applications can be filed through the MYXpats Centre for 2016. Employers must submit their Foreign Knowledge Worker (FKW) projections for both initial and renewal applications for these employee categories: Top Management, Middle Management, Technical Expert, Technical Position, Entry Level and Junior Management.

The FKW projections do not necessarily require stringent documentation, however, Malaysian authorities may require extensive supporting documentation such as client contracts, agreements, or business plans if employers seek to submit a significant number of EP applications in 2016.
