ISRAEL – Experimental Expedited Procedure for Foreign Experts

Recently, the Israeli government has initiated an experimental procedure for foreign experts to receive expedited processing on their visas. This change is meant to benefit those from countries whose citizens are exempt from applying for a visitor visa B/2 prior to traveling to Israel. Under this scheme, these foreign nationals are to agree to temporary assignment within his/her specific field for a period(s) no longer than 30 days per year. This new procedure will be monitored during the trial period, which will end in July 2015. Based on the response to the procedure, it will either be amended, extended, or cancelled.
