Ireland – Stamp 4 Requirements Change

Foreign nationals with a Critical Skills Employment Permit are required to have a 2 year job offer, though are permitted to change employers after a minimum of 12 months. A Stamp 4 allows the foreign national with a CSEP to apply for work without sponsorship, once the required 2 years of employment have been met. This criteria applied to multiple CSEPS within a 2 year period. It was not required to remain with the same company until recently.
Effective immediately, foreign nationals with a CSEP may only apply for a Stamp 4 if they have met the 2 year requirement with the same employer under their current CSEP. No longer can time from each CSEP held be added to fulfill the Stamp 4 requirement.
