Indonesia – Visa Exemption extended to 169 countries

Indonesia has extended visitor visa exemption to nationals from 169 countries. Business travelers engaging in permissible business activities will now have fewer steps to accomplish and will save time because the need to apply for a visa has been eliminated.

Business travelers must be knowledgeable of the business activities that are allowed. These activities are limited to attending meetings held by the head office or a representative office and attending seminars. Activities outside of this implicitly require the business travel to acquire a business visa before travel.

When the duration of the stay will exceed 30 calendar days, the business traveler must acquire a business visa or work permit to ensure compliance, regardless of the new exemption.
