Ghana – Deadline Imminent for Submitting Annual Returns of Foreign Workers

All companies in Ghana that employ foreign national workers must submit an annual return by the deadline of January 14, 2017.

The return must state names and addresses of all foreign nationals in their employment as of January 1, 2017, and must be submitted to the immigrant quota issuing authority, with a copy sent to the Director of Immigration.

Companies that fail to submit in time face a fine of 1000 GHS, and individuals are liable to pay 200 GHS. If fines are not paid within seven days, employers may be subject to criminal prosecution and additional monetary penalties.
