Czech Republic – Delays Expected as Ministry of Interiors Office Closes Sept. 30

The Ministry of Interiors office in Prague, servicing Prague 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, at Konevova 188/32, Prague 3 will be closing September 30, 2016. A new modern Ministry of Interiors office location will open in November at Žukovského 888/2, Prague6, servicing the same area. As the transition occurs, processing times may increase until the new location opens in November.

In the meanwhile, while the one office closes and the new locations opens, foreign nationals may go to the MOI office in Prague II at Cigánková 1861/2. Since there will be a delay in the opening of the new location, there will be more MOI officials to accommodate the increased number of foreign nationals requiring assistance at this location. However, the MOI has asked that this location be used for urgent matters, until the new location is opened.
