CANADA – CIC’s Online Systems Experiencing Technical Issues

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has been experiencing recurrent technical issues with their online immigration systems and services. The recently-implemented Employer Portal is among the several immigration services that has faced ongoing problems which will likely cause processing delays for work permits, permanent residence applications and other services.
Most of the online systems are currently functioning but it is uncertain if technical problems will continue to persist. The CIC requests that employers report any technical issues they encounter with the Employer Portal when submitting an Offer of Employment.
