BRAZIL – São Paulo Suspending Registration Services This Week

São Paulo has suspended Federal Police registrations for the week of March 17th – 23rd. The suspension has been put into place to offer registration priority to foreign doctors arriving in Brazil under a humanitarian program to fill urgent physician shortages in poor Brazilian regions. Employers are asked to take the suspension into account when planning assignments to São Paulo due possible to delays and backlogs as a result of the interruption.

This week’s suspension may also delay business and tourist visa extensions filed at the Federal Police in São Paulo.
